The importance of learning to think constructive and see things from multiple points of view is an acquired skill. In fact, some live their entire life without having the proper skills to do so, I feel fortunate that I found a way to do so. For me, things seemingly required a change, once I made the decision and the opportunity arose, I realized who I am and that I was looking at some things from the wrong perspective. Life changes very fast sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worst. It is my belief that both require an attitude adjustment and an awareness of yourself and how constructive your interactions are in all walks of life.
